Ridley now has an Android app.
If you use Zotero for research and want to read, annotate, and search your library on your phone, this does the job.
What it does#
- Full-text search: finds text inside your PDFs, not just titles and authors
- On-device OCR: scanned papers with no text layer get recognized locally on your phone, no cloud processing
- Text reflow: academic papers reflow to fit your screen with adjustable font size
- Annotations: highlight, underline, and strikethrough with 5 colors, add comments, export as Markdown
- Night mode: color-inverted PDFs for reading in the dark
- Table of contents: jump between chapters
- Reading position memory: pick up where you left off
- In-PDF search: Ctrl+F equivalent, searches current page first then expands
- Citation formatting: powered by OokCite for common academic and technical styles
App and optional storage#
The Android beta and hosted web library are public. Optional Ridley Mobile, BYO storage, and personal managed-storage plans use Ridley-specific access and allowances; they do not share another TurtleTech application’s quota.
The Ridley plans page is the source for current personal-storage prices and allowances. Native desktop and Zotero-extension installers are not public download channels.
